It has been a pretty frustrating few weeks, new books and the unavailability of paper and materials, delivery issues, whew. While we wait for dates from Rich and Ludlow Bookbinders as to when we will finally hold Neil’s The Case of Death and Honey in our hands, here are a couple of photo’s from Jealous Print’s studio showing the silk screens they used to create a five-colour print, and me, talking through and approving the colours for a small collection of poems also by Neil Gaiman Words of Fire.

Trial setting for “Frozen Hell”, the extended version of John W. Campbell Jr.’s “Who Goes There” that was made into the film “The Thing” by John Carpenter. The story will be illuminated by sixteen oil paintings, from single page to four-page foldouts, and loads of black and white illustrations and decorations by artist Greg Manchess. Type for our next Arete Editions project. ‘Words of Fire’ will be a fine edition of Neil Gaiman’s poetry. The poems were selected by Neil himself and they will be accompanied by a five-colour screenprint by Bill Sienkiewicz.
