As many of you know, or should know by now, both Lyra’s Books and Classics, Arete, and Hand and Eye Editions are all different imprints with the same creative teams, creating a wide range of different sorts of books, consequently we share the same tastes! Arete have been working on ‘Frozen Hell’ for the last year with the artist Greg Manchess, when Rich was formulating Lyra’s Classics, it seemed the perfect fit to use an artist that could bring a classic use of oil painted portraits that Greg Manchess could do, he was one of a few that could pull off our concept for the book. Editions of our latest project with “The Case of Death and Honey” by Neil Gaiman, are packed and ready to come with Phil from Hand and Eye to the first annual Ludlow Fine Book Fair this weekend (Sat 6th & Sun 7th Nov). Clive Pavilion, Ludlow Racecourse, SY8 2BT. There will be fine press publishers, suppliers, rare book dealers and many more. This will be the second time that these books have been shown, and the first time that they are on display outside of London.
These three editions are illustrated by Gary Gianni. Letterpress printed by Hand Eye Editions and bound by Richard Tong(Lyra’s Books) at Ludlow Bookbinder.
