I like detailed specs on books, I know that some people in the trade like to keep them short and pithy but I like everything, so for the bibliophiles:

This edition of 250 numbered copies and 30 publishers’ copies of The Case of Death and Honey was hot metal letterpress printed in two colours, red and black, on a Heidelberg cylinder press by Phil Abel and Robert Hetherington at Hand & Eye Editions. The black was printed in two workings. Hot-metal typesetting by Nick Gill at Effra Press.
The paper is 145 gsm Mouldmade Zerkall paper.
Book binding is by Richard Tong at Ludlow Bookbinders, designed by Richard Tong and Gary Gianni, art directed by Marcelo Anciano.

Fully bound in off-white goatskin leather with a French groove between the spine and boards. The front and back boards have been foil blocked extensively with 6 passes to the front, two to the back and two to the spine. Ten in total. To the spine there are five raised bands which have been hand tooled with gold lines. The book has ‘set’ headcaps (where the leather is formed over the headbands). The top edge of the book has been hand gilded, with the bottom (tail) edge being deckled.
Slipcase – made from strong 3mm book board and lined with dark red suedel. The box is covered in Ratchford’s black, textured Coral cloth with a raised goatskin leather label. The label is foil blocked with four passes of blocking.
Thirty-nine full page black and white line illustrations and one half page plus multiple decorations by Gary Gianni.
